An Email with the Subject "Important : Refund from Internal Revenue Service IRS" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Mon, 27 Aug 2007 11:23:06 -0700 and has been classified as a Employment/Job Scam Email. The sender shows as "Internal Revenue Service"<refunds@irs.gov>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of $139.30 .Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 6-9 days in order to process it. You can apply for your refund online here. A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons. For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.
