I am sorry for whatever surprise this letter may cause you. With due
sense of respect and decency I want to assure you that this letter to
you is an honest appeal for your support and consent.
Iam Barrister Hassan Adams, an Attorney to a deceased ex- client of
mine Mr. Nelson Platt, who died in an auto accident here in 2001. My
client was an expatriate (foreigner) who worked in the Oil and Gas
industry as an Oil explorer.
My purpose of writing to you is to seek your assistance and permission
to present your name as the Next of kin (Relation) to this late client
who deposited the sum of US$12.5million in a bank here before his
death in auto accident with his family.
The bank he deposited the U$12.5million has requested me as his
Attorney to forward to them the particulars and name of his Next of
kin for the release of the fund.I have made all efforts to locate any
of his blood relations but this has been very difficult. To worsen the
situation nobody has come forward to be identified as the Next of
kin since his death .
In view of this difficulties in locating my client's Next of kin,
rather than allowing his funds to be unjustly appropriated by the
bank, I decided to write you to seek your assistance and consent to
present your name as his Next of kin to the bank to enable us receive
the funds from the bank. I seek your cooperation in this genuinelyand
sincerely with due sense of responsibility bearing in mind of the
known fact that the bank will notrelease the deposited funds to me
other than a certified Next of Kin recognized by the Court as A
foreign citizen just like the deceased.
Note: It does not matter that you and the deceased has no same family
names, or you are not his blood relation or that you do not know him
in person. This will be taken care of by the required legal
documents that shall be notarized and certified in your name to
back-up the claims as the legal Next of Kin for the payment.
It is very important to inform you here that I have a valid agreement
with the bank that once I secure the authorithy and approval of our
High Court for this payment with legal documents certified by the
Court, the bank will make the payment in favour of the Next of kin I
will present to them.
I guarantee that the documents which I will process in your name as
supporting evidence for the claims will protect and clear you from any
breach of the law since the documents will be validated by the
authorithy of our High Court. Be certain that I will take the full
responsibility to ensure that this transaction is handled legitimately
in accordance with the law governing inheritance claims here.
As an Attorney, all necessary and legitimate steps shall be taken by
me to protect your name and to ensure that this transaction is
conducted and executed legitimately and transparently.For the
processing and notarization of the legal documents in your name, I
will require your address, Your name and address shall be in the
documents as the beneficiary of the payment.
Once the transfer is effected in your favour, you will take 45% of the
fund while I will take 55%.
