An Email with the Subject "Re:Immediate Payment Notification Via ATM DEBIT Card" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sat, 21 Jun 2008 11:46:26 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as From The Desk Of: MR JOHN.O.ABOH <fbn_atm1@student.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
This is to bring to your notice that the Federal Government of Nigeria is now aware of the pains,
troubles and difficulties you have pass through in the course of securing your fund in our bank
here in Nigeria. Therefore, following your inability to meet the necessary financial obligations,
which are mandatory for the release of your over-due fund, the Presidency in its magnanimity have
approved the sum of US$50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand United States Dollars Only) to be paid to you
through ATM Credit Card, to enable you offset all the necessary fiancial obligations and have your
fund released to you once and for all.
You are therefore advised to indicate your readiness to obtain your own ATM Credit Card from
our Card Centre by responding to this message within 24hrs. It is also imperative to inform you
that this payment method is easier, faster and could be cashed from any ATM Machine anywhere in the
world.
Please do forward your existing valid contact address and your telephone number as quickly as
possible to enable us commence work on the processing of your ATM Credit Card.
