An Email with the Subject "Important notice - New account verification method" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 20 Mar 2007 18:45:10 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "Flagstar Bank"<serfice@flagstar.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

From time to time, randomly selected accounts are subjected to an advanced verification process based on our merchant accounts/bank relations and customer debit card. Your account is not suspended, but if in 48 hours after you receive this message your account is not confirmed, we reserve the right to suspend you Flagstar Bank registration.
