An Email with the Subject "Please Take 5-10 Minutes Out of Your Online Experience And Update Your Halifax Account" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 27 Feb 2007 03:28:58 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as Halifax Bank PLC. <online@secure.halifax-online.co.uk>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the Halifax
account we have issued this warning message.

It has come to our attention that your Halifax account information needs to be
updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account in this year 2007 and to
reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes
out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run into
any future problems with the online service.

Once you have updated your account records your Halifax account
service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal. :
