An Email with the Subject "Please Aid Japan's Recovery" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 15 Jun 2011 17:18:26 -0700 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam Email. The sender shows as aburayan@nets.com.jo.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded on March 11. The magnitude-9.0 quake spawned a deadly tsunami that slammed into the nation's east coast, leaving a huge swath of devastation in its wake. This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage.
