"Todd Bentley:  Prophetic?  Or...PATHETIC!"

A BIBLICAL EXAMINATION OF THE "LAKELAND REVIVAL"

THE GREATEST NEED IN THE CHURCH TODAY...IS THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT.
-pastor Brad

Some of the criticism ( I actually received a threat from among those that I have angered, hmmm... - see Galatians 4:16) that I have received is as follows:

"I believe that we need to be discerning, yes. I believe the Bible is inerrant,
and gives us the help we need to discern. But it grieves me to see "the church"
applying scriptures to someone as "evidence" against their authenticity,
when in reality they have simply made a personal judgment about someone
and are then using select Bible references to "prove" their position."
-a concerned GodThoughts subscriber

In response, let me say that the scripture IS our standard of measure.  If someone says that what they are doing is from the God of the Bible, but the Bible speaks to the contrary, then they are deceived, sincerely or otherwise.

An except from a recent interview (click on "Interview with Todd Bentley" below, to see for yourself) is as follows:

Interviewer:  "What is going to happen?  Has God shown you?"

Bentley:  "Yes, He (God) has...It's (this revival) going to go all over the earth.  It's global.  It's International...It won't be stopped...There will be stadiums all over the earth being filled."

For those of you who truly believe that what Todd Bentley is doing is of the God of the Bible, please make note:  The voice that Todd is hearing has told him that this "movement" will usher in the Second Coming of Christ.  "It's (this revival) going to go all over the earth.  It's global.  It's International...It won't be stopped...There will be stadiums all over the earth being filled."  Please remember this!  6 months from now.  1 year from now.  5 years from now.

If the voice that Todd Bentley is hearing is the God of the Bible, these things will surely happen!

"The glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind;
for He is not a man that He should change His mind."
1 Samuel 12:29

If however, these things DO NOT happen, then the voice that Todd thinks is God...IS NOT GOD.  He is deceived.  Oh yes, he is sincere...SINCERELY DECEIVED!

And one other thought from this interview (again, click on "Interview with Todd Bentley" to see for yourself).  If, as Todd claims, "People are being healed of terminal cancers," why is there a refusal to provide medical proof of such claims?  If I was aware of God bringing supernatural healing to someone, I would personally be delivering the proof to every media outlet I could find?  You know, the secular media has asked for proof  (see Interview with Geraldo Rivera below).

He who truly has an ear...let him hear what the real Spirit of God is speaking to His Church in the days prior to His return.
