Search Scamdex & Scamalot
An Email with the Subject "IMPORTANT: Notification of limited accounts" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sun, 25 Jun 2006 03:09:29 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "PayPal Security Service" <security@paypal.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the
PayPal system. We recently noticed the following issue on your account:
Unusual account activity has made it necessary to limit sensitive account
features
until additional verification information can be collected.
We have been notified that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen, or that there were additional problems with your card.
